Service was basic. Ordering is via tablet so little to no contact with a human. Ambiance was ok. Tables outside worked well since it was a beautiful day and we were early so plenty of tables. Food. Was torn but went with a BLT on a Dutch crunch roll since I saw so many positive reviews. Went on a Friday and ingredients overall were fresh and good. But. The roll was far less than impressive. I tore off the outside as it was just a big roll of quasi flavorless bread. Sourdough would have been a much better pairing. I did ask for whole leaf lettuce since I can't stand shredded lettuce on a sandwich. It was perfect. My friend had a triple meat (?) burrito. It was ok. Not bad just not noteworthy except for the huge amount of eggs. I may go back but not sure since this is fairly out of the way for me and I guess my expectations were just too high. Prices seemed on par with most places lately with no done in option.

The location of this sandwich shop is at a patio next to a building. It's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious sandwich by Gigi's. There are quite a selection of different sandwiches but my favorite is anything with Pastrami. Service and attention to details are all top notch. Check it out!

I literally can't wait to go back and try some more vegetarian sandwiches. In my opinion, Gigi's is the best place for vegetarians in the Bay Area. I've had Ike's, but Gigi blows them out of the water. TMI alert*, I have a sensitive tummy, Gigi's didn't agitate my stomach, which is a major pass in my book. Located off the 101 highway, you don't have to go far to find the parking lot. The shop is located in a business building. Outside there are some tables if you can't wait to eat your sandwich. *Warning* there aren't any bathrooms in the building. But! I think in the distance are some public bathrooms near the Bay Trail or just run to the hotel nearby. Next order your meal on a touch screen tablet. We were brave and added the guava lemonade for $4.50. OMG, that was amazingly full of flavor and we'll for sure order one next time. To pick up your order, you need to step outside and there is a window you pick up your food. The view of the bay is relaxing, waiting is okay with me. During the winter they might change the pick up to indoors? My husband and I shared the TOFU Vegetarian Blazin' Buffalo Chick'n Sandwich (V) for $14.99. Like I mentioned earlier, we will be back to order other items off the menu. I can't rave enough about Gigi's, you are AWESOME!!!!

Gigi's is a great lunch spot, especially on days when you just need to get out of the office. You can order from the kiosks inside the building or order ahead through the SnackPass app for convenience. The staff is always so nice. I've ordered sandwiches, cookies, salads, and drinks and all were superb! Go here. Get lunch here. Get a cookie too. Take it back to your office or home. Or just enjoy your food at one of the tables and soak in the fresh air.

I am one happy fatty! I have been wanting to try this place for such a long time. I don't drive so Gigi's is really out of the way. I am stuck home with a broken leg and have been Door Dashing and so I took my chance. I ordered the Tech Bro and asked for a lot of changes. Yes, I am that girl. I like my sandwiches in a very particular way. Gigi's got it 100% right. The sandwich is huge and the pastrami, turkey and bacon were not only top quality but a huge portion. The sandwich was moist and perfectly layered with all the condiments evenly laid out. I could only eat half. I also ordered chips. You know what Gigi went and did? She put a chocolate chip cookie in my bag as a bonus. It was really tasty! Thank you for that :) These sandwiches are magically delicious. I think you need a little magic in your life.

I came upon an article on SFGATE several months ago regarding this place and I quickly bookmarked after reading. Quick synopsis: Owner Teresa Gee studied pastry and graduated at San Francisco's Le Cordon Bleu and moved to Florida to work for a celebrity Chef at the W Hotel. She got homesick and moved back home to work as a pastry chef at Il Fornaio and Oracle's headquarters in Redwood City. At the young age of 24, she took over this sandwich spot since she had the urge to create more savory dishes. Create she has...and the rest is history. I finally got a chance to visit this place last week since I had to return a rental car at the airport. The cafe is located across the Embassy Suites Hotel right by Robert E. Wooley State Park. Initially, I thought Waze had given me the wrong direction since it appears it's only an office building until I saw a sign with an arrow indicating Gigi's Cafe. Turned right into a spacious parking lot and the entrance is right in the middle. You have to order at a couple of kiosks inside and you'll receive a text confirmation on your order. The pick-up window is outside, and they'll call your name once your order is ready. I have to mention that the menu is extensive with all kinds of specialty sandwiches that includes vegan options. They also have salads, build-your-own sandwiches, sweet treats, smoothies, chips, coffee and breakfast. I'm far from being a vegan, so I ordered my meats in the form of a sandwich named the Rich B*tch ($18.88 - a lb. of meat that includes pastrami, ham, cheddar, jalapeƱos, roasted bell peppers, onion, mayo, mustard & chipotle on toasted Dutch Crunch.) and a Knuckle Sandwich ($14.50 - hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, bell peppers, onion, jalapeƱos, potato chips, mayo, mustard toasted on Dutch Crunch). OH MAH GOODNESS, these sammiches were packed and beautiful to look at. They are sliced in the middle so you can see the layers and layers and layers of ingredients that they don't skimp on. You get what you pay for, and my mouth wasn't big enough to tackle these husky sammies that I had to start on the corners in order to make a dent. To say they were filling is quite an understatement as I could only finish half of each. But then I got greedy. Well...technically I decided to order 3 more to go for my wife and kids and decided on the following: Sam Sandwich ($14.50 - salami & ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pepperoncinis, mayo & house vinaigrette on toasted French Roll), Teresa's Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich ($13.99 - chicken teriyaki and toasted Dutch Crunch roll with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and mayo), and Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich ($15.50 - spicy breaded chicken, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayo & BBQ sauce on toasted Dutch Crunch.) I spent quite a few bones that day; but technically, this was both for lunch and dinner. The greedy part was me sampling each sammies as I couldn't resist the temptation. The also cool place about this location is that it's right next to a park overlooking the bay, a saltwater lagoon and the airport. You can enjoy your sammy while watching the planes land and take off, or just the calm scenery with a cool breeze coming from the bay. Oh yeah, I will be back with friends and family....or just by myself.

The sandwiches are massive and worth the prices. The flavors do not disappoint, the Rich B*tch was amazing and just packed with filling. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich is only good once ordered, tried having the other half later and was very soggy and had an after taste. They have outdoor seating available and wouldn't recommend going during peak lunch times as it's located in an office building and employees trickle down fast to grab their lunch. Service was self serve on the kiosk they have near their serving window. I would recommend this to someone who is in the mood for a great sammy in the Peninsula, comparing to Little Lucas they have competition here.

This is a long over-due review! I first had the privilege of trying Gigi's for a Yelp event a few years back. We were able to try the breakfast items, and I had an epic breakfast croissant sandwich. Came here again very recently with the wifey after talking it up for so long. *ACCESS* The location is within some office buildings in Burlingame. Parking has been plentiful every time I've gone, and there is a lot very close by. You access the ordering window via an inside lobby. *ORDERING* They are equipped with multiple touchscreen self-ordering kiosks. They have a table blocking where it used to be more open inside. The staff is close by inside so if you have any questions or special requests, they're around. Once you order, you wait outside at a pickup window for your food. Very streamlined and straightforward. *FOOD* In addition to thick, delicious sandwiches, they also have drinks (smoothies, coffee, juice), breakfast (sandwiches, burritos, bagels, etc), baked goods, sides, and more! When I say thick, I mean THICC. This is possibly the most stacked sandwich I've ever had. So much to the point that it was actually a little difficult to take a full bite! This is not something I'll ever complain about, as I've had too many sandwiches where I felt they skimped on the meat portion. All of the breads are delicious, but I especially recommend the Dutch Crunch if you're a fan! *OVERALL* The staff is very friendly, despite the minimal interactions. The food is incredible, and with such an eclectic menu, you can enjoy Gigi's for any meal! This has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a sandwich, and I'm already looking forward to my next trip! Thanks again!! IG: @bbnem.eats

Thick sandwiches and solid salads here! I've ordered Gigi's Cafe through their website for pickup and DoorDash delivery. I liked that I was able to schedule an order for pickup through their website. It's convenient, which I appreciate. It's in an office building, and parking was simple. I walked up to pick up and I was happily greeted by the worker. On a nice day, the water view is pretty. However, beware that there are birds around the water area. It would be best to eat to at the outdoor tables or grab and go.

Gigi's Cafe being ranked #14 on 2023 Yelp's Top 100 is for a good reason. https://www.yelp.com/article/yelps-top-100-us-restaurants-2023 This is definitely the best sandwich shop to go to. It's located in an office building and it's a really nice area to walk around too. The ordering process is super easy as they have two kiosks and you can also order ahead on the Snackpass app so that your order can be ready by the time you arrive. Everyone working there is also incredibly friendly and personable. That makes it worth coming back and the sandwiches are so good, but they are also very generous with how much they put in them. My favorite menu items to order are the breakfast sandwiches with either the bagel or croissant which is pretty affordable at $5.99 with no add-ons. They put so many eggs in their breakfast sandwiches and burritos which I appreciate because it's a lot more than what other places would give. In terms of their specialty sandwiches I love their Chipotle Is My Life Sandwich ($13.75), BAE Sandwich ($14.50), or Chicken Parmesan Sandwich ($13.99). They all leave you stuffed after finishing your meal and you can easily save another half for later. The bread they use are also fresh and elevates all of their sandwiches. Their Salted Caramel Crunch Cookie ($3.25) is also a nice sweet treat to go with your sandwiches too. So soft and chewy with a crispy texture on the outside. There is also a good amount of seating outdoors and it's such a nice meal to have on a sunny day here. I am definitely happy being a repeat customer here and there are tons of great options for sandwiches in the Bay Area, but I would take Gigi's Cafe any day.
